I am a NYS licensed Massage Therapist and a graduate of the Trocaire College Medical Massage program. In my two years of study at Trocaire, I earned an Associates in Applied Sciences and Massage Therapy Certification. As a student, I interned at Depew Health Center and Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
In my private practice at the HEAT Center, I specialize in Medical/ Therapeutic Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Postpartum Massage and Abdominal Therapy.
I am also proud to provide Rebozo Lessons for Pregnancy and Birth and Infant Massage Education for Parents and Caregivers.
Prior to becoming an LMT, I was an Early Childhood Educator at the University of Buffalo Child Care Center. I had the pleasure of watching families grow as well as supporting parents through their child's growth and development, from the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years. My ten-year experience at UB Child Care Center gave me a unique perspective and insight regarding child development, teaching, patience and collaboration with parents and co-workers.
I have been very blessed to continue working with families over a decade as an LMT, specializing in pregnancy and postpartum treatments as well offering Doula services for 9 years. Attending births has been a blessing in itself, although I no longer offer Doula services, I am beyond thankful to all the families that trusted me to be a part of this major transition and event in their lives. Attending births has given me a better understanding of the birth process and the physical and emotional impact both vaginal and cesarean birth can have on a persons body, mind and spirit.
I have now chosen to focus my practice on healing. I have recently received specialized training in Abdominal Therapy and have become a member of the Abdominal Therapy Collective. This technique originates from Central American Indigenous culture, focusing on the healing of mind, body and spirit, releasing emotion and pain that has been stored in the abdomin and body.
I am very thankful and blessed to be in a position where I can continue to support women, parents and children. I truly love what I do and will actively continue to educate myself in order to better serve our WNY community through massage therapy and education. Thank you!
